UPSC Photo and Signature Requirements
UPSC form preparation usually involves two separate files: a photo and a signature. Both need careful handling because they are validated independently. A good upload strategy is to prepare them separately and verify each file before submission.
Photo checklist
- Recent clear front-facing image
- Proper crop and simple background
- Correct dimensions and format
- Final KB within allowed range
Signature checklist
- Dark signature on white paper
- Clean background and readable strokes
- Correct crop with a little white margin
- Proper size and format
For the photo, use Photo Resize Tool. For the signature, use Signature Scanner. If the notification changes, always follow the current official document rather than older assumptions.
